One of Islam's great temples of evil becomes a showcase for the finest fruits of European civilisation.

The Swedish Committee against Anti-Semitism, SKMA, has launched an attack against me for having had the audacity to reveal that Muslims are behind the anti-Semitism that is afoot in Malmö. It reminds me of the Verband nationaldeutscher Juden [The Association of German-national Jews] who supported Hitler in the 1930s and claimed that Jews were treated fairly in Nazi Germany.

The SKMA reminds us of an interesting but dangerous phenomenon: Intellectual Jews who shy away from the facts concerning Islam and choose to direct their anger at Western Christians and secularists. Factual information makes no impression on them. Nothing will shake their conviction that anti-Semitism and criticism of Islam are branches on the same tree.
Source: Dispatch International

Of course this is fairly routine stuff. It would hardly be worth commenting on except for the parallel blindness on each side.

Jews refuse to recognise an adversary. But so, too, does Dispatch International. Everything Carlqvist says of the SKMA in relation to Muslims is true but could equally well be said of Dispatch International in relation to Jews. The Jews continue to seek the favour of the Muslims, cherishing some fantasy of convivencia, even when the Muslims act in ways that are demonstrably hostile to their interests. But so, too, does Dispatch International continue to seek the favour of the Jews, even when the Jews act in ways that are demonstrably hostile to the interests of indigenous Europeans.

When will there be any recognition from Dispatch International or other prominent parts of the Counterjihad movement that Jewish intellectual and political activism in favour of immigration, special protection for minorities, the criminalisation of free speech and the de-Europeanisation of Europe under the rubric of "diversity" has played a significant part in the catastrophe that is now engulfing the continent?

The Jewish organisations cannot admit the Muslim menace because they have a simple moral rule that says "Majorities mobilising against ethnic minorities=Nazism=Bad." Similarly, Dispatch International cannot concede the destructive effect of Jewish activism because it has a simple rule that says "Criticising Jewish conduct=antisemitism=Nazism=Bad". In each case, actual demonstrable facts are disregarded in favour of some moral melodrama that involves fighting off imaginary hordes of demonically evil, irrational people called Nazis. Both groups are mesmerised by these anathema lines that they have drawn, imagining that some terrible moral abyss lies behind them. Both are haunted by the ghost of Hitler and their paralysing obsession with him prevents them from recognising and vigorously responding to very real threats.
When Jews defend Islamic anti-Semitism and turn on those who defend them, one cannot help but feeling dismayed.
Dispatch International

When Europeans defend anti-Europeanism and turn on those European patriots who defend them, one cannot help feeling dismayed.
My version

Of course I don't mean to pick on Dispatch International here. It's just a typical example of the part of the anti-Islam resistance movement that aspires towards mainstream respectability by accepting most of the canons of establishment thinking. It doesn't disagree with the concept of the "Anathema Line", only quibbles about where it should be drawn.

This is a follow-up to this story.

The statement is interesting because it combines terrorist threats with exactly the same kind of discourse we typically hear from leftists and the mainstream-media-beloved Muslims pretending to be moderate: Nazi analogies, talk of "fear of the Other", complaints about mosque construction permits not being granted, even grumbles about vouchers for free meals in schools. It's all in there. But this time backed up with threats of jihad violence.
A statement signed by 'Africamuslima', affiliated with Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, castigates "the Nazi gestures of the Catalan government" after information appeared in the press about the Department of the Interior monitoring Muslim women wearing the burka in order to intensify surveillance of Salafism in Catalonia. The text states that "the step taken by the autonomous Catalan government will not remain without a response."

In this sense, it warns that "hardening the discourse that blames Muslims will not solve your problems but will bring you misfortune" and indicates that "we have a moral duty to warn this pseudo-government that any action taken against Muslim women will be responded to both inside and outside Catalonia."

In the document related to the jihadist organisation there are threats to the Catalan executive and it makes clear that "neither the government delegations will be safe, nor the offices of Acció [Catalan separatist organisation], not the minuscule economic interests that remain to it throughout the world."

The document says "the new tone of the Catalan pseudo-government has not surprised us" and adds "our people in Catalonia will not be the scapegoat for the institutional and economic failure and the social consequences that become ever more clear".

"Democracy? And they want to interfere in the way women dress? What's next? The creation of concentration camps for Muslims that don't use the type of clothing dictated by the government?" it asks.

"We note," it continues, "the history of hatred and maltreatment of the Muslim community on the part of the government and its gorillas - Mossos [police] - and denounces examples such as "denying municipal permits for the construction of places of worship", "indiscriminate detention of Muslims", "institutional support and finance for organisations with a Nazi ideology whose clear objective is to intimidate the Muslim community," "exclusion of the majority of formerly tax-paying Muslims from the public health system" and "exclusion of the children of Muslims from the meal vouchers" [in schools].

Finally, the statement concludes, urging Catalan media and elites to "distance themselves from the incendiary, racist and xenophobic discourse, that they had fuelled and are fuelling and that stresses difference and the fear of the other."

More ridiculous propaganda trying to convince us that Jihad is something other than it is.
In recent years the word Jihad has had negative connotations attached to it. It was said that Jihad means to go to war for Allah or God. Tarek Ziad Hussein and his friends decided that they did not agree with this assessment and wanted to show their definition of the word with this video. They went out onto the streets of Copenhagen in Denmark and distributed food, water and clothes to the less fortunate.

Almost two-thirds of French people (64%) are opposed to a French military intervention as part of an international coalition against the regime of Bashar al Assad, according to a BVA poll published on Saturday by Parisien-Aujourd'hui en France.

Although left-wingers are split (50% in favour and 49% opposed), those on the right are very strongly hostiles (74% against, 25% for).

Dhimmitude of the Netherlands
by Henk Lomax

An historical overview.

In 1951, came the first Muslims, as a group, to the Netherlands. This involved a number of Moluccan families of former soldiers (from the former colony that is now the Republic of Indonesia).

In 1954 a Dutch translation of the Qur'an appears.

Friesland , in the Netherlands, already has the first real mosque built in 1955. The second was built in The Hague.

Until the seventies, the Muslim community had barely stirred. Although they continued with their fidelity to Islam, they made no specific demands of Dutch society; probably partly because of their relatively small number.
The political climate is as follows. A starting point is: there must be the right to preserve (immigrants’) own culture and the government should keep aloof from the integration of minorities.

1970: Family reunion is taking place. That leads to the abolition of the law which prohibits marriage between blood relatives.

Prompted by the governing influence of the Dutch Socialist Party (PvdA) in the major cities, this slowly creates an unbridled expansion of Islam. Since integration is not paramount, the Social Services also starts releasing leaflets in Arabic and Turkish.

In 1977: Decisions of the meat inspectorate are adjusted so that Islamic slaughter is permitted.

1988: The call to prayer from minarets is deemed legally equivalent to the ringing of church bells. In the same year, the first Islamic primary school is opened.

In 1993: the Dutch Muslim Broadcasting [Nederlandse Moslim Omroep, NMO] organisation was founded. The NMO is an affiliate of the Dutch Muslim Council [Nederlandse Moslim Raad (NMR)].

1997: An Islamic university is opened (?) in Rotterdam.

From the beginning of the 21st century, the ‘Dhimmituding’ of The Netherlands is accelerating at a rapid pace. After September 11, 2001, the official government position is: there is no relationship between (Muslim!) terrorism and Islam. The policy in the mainstream media is systematically to ignore the negative impressions Islam can generate. More and more, Islam critics are labeled Islamophobes, xenophobes or racists. In many areas are quality and admission standards are revised downwards to promote Muslim integration and participation. Measures against hate preaching imams are rarely taken.

2001: In the Dutch parliament (de Tweede-Kamer) there is a serious discussion of proposals to ban bottles of wine in Christmas hampers.

2002: A quarter of primary schools in cities of the Randstad area (coast line) shift the celebration of Christmas because it coincides with a Muslim holiday, or abolish it entirely.

(From) The municipal elections of 2002. The Dutch Socialist Party, PvdA, appoints, in disproportionate numbers, councilors and aldermen with an Islamic background. Many of them are involved in scandal based on past or present acts or sympathies. In almost all cases, the party leadership is involved in protecting them.

The number of incidents in which Islam is an underlying factor, increases exponentially:
There are increasing number of reports on homophobia among young Muslims, anti-Semitic discords during anti-Israel demonstrations, disturbances and destruction at commemorations and threats made to dissenters.

2006: Queen Beatrix attends the 50th anniversary of a mosque in The Hague. She agrees in advance upon not shaking hands.

In the opinion of Minister of Justice Piet Hein Donner, Islamic law (Sharia) could be introduced in the Netherlands.

Minister for Development Cooperation, Agnes van Ardenne, calls Islam critics inherently dangerous fundamentalist secularists.

The Commissioner of the Queen in the province of North Brabant, Hanja Maij-Weggen (Christian Democrats CDA), bans the use of a boar on the logo for the celebration of the 900-year anniversary of the Duchy of Brabant.

The anti-gay and misogynist fundamentalist Muslim Faizel Enait, from Rotterdam, wins the grand prize in an essay contest organised by the Wiardi Beckman Foundation (WBS), the scientific office of the Socialist Party (PvdA).

According to ‘Facts-book’, in the year 2006, 62% of Dutch indigenous adults judged that the way of life of Muslims was incompatible with Western European standards. This fact was and still is completely ignored by successive governments.

After the parliamentary elections of 2006, ministers with dual nationality are appointed. The objections raised by the right wing concerning their loyalty are not taken seriously.

2007: New requirements are imposed for passport photographs in official documents. An exception is made for Muslims.

Several Islamic schools and mosques are accused of fraud and abuse:
- As-Sunnah mosque in Amsterdam
- El Ameen Ameen El I and II in Amsterdam
- Salah Eddin El Ayyoubi in Helmond
- Overarching Foundation of the Amsterdam Islamic primary schools (SIBA)
- As-Siddiq and the ICA Islamic College Amsterdam

While driving a car, Muslim women may wear Muslim headscarves, niqabs or burqas. It is allowed even during the driving test, although the examiner, in that case, is less able to see whether the woman is looking correctly in the mirrors and if she makes enough eye contact with other road users.

Affixing compass cards in police cells in order to point the way towards Mecca for Muslim prisoners is a constitutional right. This was the response of the Interior Minister, Guusje ter Horst from the Dutch Social Party (PvdA), to parliamentary questions from the Party for Freedom (PVV). Muslims are given the opportunity to pray in the right direction by the dots or compass cards in the cells

The Leiden professors W. A. Shadid and P.S. Koningsveld declare that Muslim female students of medicine cannot be expected to be examined by fellow students.

Despite pressure from some politicians and a mayor, Minister of Justice, Hirsch Ballin, points out that he does not see any value in issuing fines (of € 3350). He prefers education (information) and wants a dialogue about 'this new phenomenon for the Netherlands'.

Amsterdam Municipal Transport wants to abolish Christmas staff.

The Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen (Socialist) distances himself from earlier attempts to stimulate the development of Islam in a liberal direction. He decides that street coaches (who are municipal workers) do not have to shake hands with a woman if their faith does not allow this.
The number of Muslims in our country has grown from 54,000 in 1971 to 1,000,000. The Netherlands has currently 450 mosques.

2009: Under pressure from its members, the party executive of the Dutch Socialist Party PvdA, is going rewrite the new integration vision. According to the members, the piece focuses too much on the problems with immigrants and Islam, while "the power of diversity" is rarely mentioned.

2009: The city of Utrecht opens two information counters at the ‘Omar Al Farouk’ Mosque next to the Overvecht rail station. One of these “one-stop shops” is specially designed for men, the other for women.

In March 2009 50 seats are reserved for a performance of ‘Salaheddine’, in Rotterdam’s Zuidplein Theatre; specifically for Muslim women who do not want to sit alongside men. This under the guise of an "experimental marketing tool”. By this the theatre breaches the legal prohibition on direct discrimination in the provision of a service and the performance of a contract such as that found in Article 7, paragraph 1 of the General Equal Treatment Act.

For years municipalities have been cooperating with Moroccan parents who are coming to declare the birth of a child. They supply them with a list bearing (Islamic) names approved by the Moroccan government, from which they can choose a name.

The court in Amsterdam is finally about to prosecute Wilders for inciting hatred and discrimination. There will be a political process; conducted against a democratically elected Dutch politician, who alone has the guts to show the hypocritical ‘dhimmitude’ referred to above. Wilders has already been denounced as too great a threat to electoral established politics and must be disabled. Through a conviction it would be possible to deprive him of a claim on the premiership in advance.

A publicity campaign for the province of Overijssel calls attention, through an advertising poster, to the qualities of the Overijssel landscape. The poster is prominently displayed with a Muslim headscarf.

The municipality of Apeldoorn wants a polling station set up in the As Soena Mosque.

The Brussels Studies Institute this morning published a study that shows the increase in the number of pupils who speak neither French nor Dutch at home, complicating the work of the teachers. French and Dutch are becoming "partly foreign" languages. Benjamin Wayens, geographer and one of the three researchers who participated in writing up this study, warns: "This variable must be incorporated into the training of future teachers so they adapt the way they give lessons."

What is the cause of this phenomenon?

Brussels is a town where different communities and nationalities encounter one another unceasingly. Brussels contains a large number of children who have emigrated from all over Europe, and not just the Mediterranean basin. We shouldn't necessarily believe that all of these young people will follow lessons in a European school, far from there."

What could be the response to this problem?

School is supposed to be the place where a common language is generated, a common knowledge. It's clearly very difficult in view of today's realities. Teachers need to be better prepared for these changing circumstances.

The Mossos d'Esquadra [tn: Catalonian police] have created a register of Muslim women who wear the burka. In a story on its front page, the Catalonian newspaper El Periódico says that for the last year police officers have been noting down and registering cases of women who wear the niqab or burka.

According to this information, various police units of the Generalitat [tn: Catalonian government] have received instructions to note down and relay internally every new case of women dressed in these Islamic garments. Investigators see a relationship between the use of this attire and the flourishing of Salafism in the region.

The police of the Generalitat want to know how many niqabs and burkas are being used in Catalunya, in what areas, and, insofar as possible, identify the women who are wearing this garment.

The creation of this registry is related to the Generalitat's aim of banning the use of the full veil in public spaces.

Catalunya has been to the forefront of taking measures against the use of the burka, although they have not been free of controversy. Besides, the use of the burka has raised the question of religious liberty.

This is exactly the argument that was put forward in the judgement of the Supreme Court which struck down the burka ban in Lleida. The high court indicated that a town council had no power to regulate or take a decision in a matter concerning religious liberty.

A Tunisian minor has attempted to abuse a 13 year old girl from Milan who was on holiday in Lampedusa. This is backed up by the girl's family, who filed a complaint at the police station on the island. The young man was quickly identified and stopped, pending the outcome of the investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Agrigento. The person involved is an unaccompanied minor who recently landed on Lampedusa and lives at the reception center of Imbriacola.

THE COMPLAINT - The facts date back to Sunday evening. According to the complaint the Tunisian immigrant is said to have attempted to abuse the 13-year-old in a boat. The girl was in the company of a friend, a minor, also from Milan. Apparently while the two kids were waiting on the boat, docked at the pier, for the arrival of some relatives, the immigrant is said to have come on board. There was a scuffle, and soon after the young Tunisian man is said to have shut the thirteen year old in the bathroom, trying to rape her. The girl's friend is said to have scared the immigrant away.

The largest Christian group in Syria published these photos on its Facebook page. It says they show a Christian girl who was raped, tortured and murdered by Saudi jihadists and others who had come to Syria to help install an Islamic emirate there.

The people who did this are the ones Hussein Obama, Hollande and Cameron are now about to help.

Michel Godart was fired at 16 times for having complained about "jeunes" who were making a ruckus.

Michel Godart lives in the Gayolles à Gilly housing estate, a place where, for some time, life hasn't been good.

According to the locals, the district is regularly squatted by a gang of "jeunes". “Not kids here. They're troublemakers who ... come from elsewhere," explains Jean, a local who prefers to remain anonymous.

On Friday evening, the gang came back and was rather noisy. Around midnight, Michel Godart (55) came out to tell them off. “They left the scene but one of them came back to kick me in the stomach," explains the victim who, this Sunday, is reluctant to go back to his home.

A quarter of an hour later, while the resident was still in front of his door, one of the "jeunes" came back, armed with a large-calibre weapon. "He fired in the direction of me and my son. I saw the flames in the dark and the impacts on the front of the building caused splinters that struck us. It wasn't far away. He was shooting to kill. Fortunately, we were able to take cover before being hit," continues the man in his 50s.

Once they had been informed, the local Charleroi police came and inspected the scene. In total, sixteen bullet casings were recovered on the spot. Seven bullets had riddled the facade of the house and three others penetrated the chassis of the vehicle belonging to the injured party.

On Saturday morning the duty magistrate of the procecutor's office of Charleroi came to the scene, followed by the examining magistrate Véronique Desneux and a ballistics expert. The latter determined that the shots had been fired at head height, which would imply murderous intent. The case has also been classed as attempted murder.

For now, no suspects have been identified but the inquiry continues.
"Police have arrested three asylum seekers who they believe are behind no fewer than 70 burglaries and two home robberies.

"They were caught red-handed when they were in the process of breaking into a private residence," said police inspector Karl Erik Yde Agerbo BBC News.

The arrests come a few weeks after police arrested three other asylum seekers - caught in the act. They were also about to burgle a private residence."

"Where did the Islamic veil problem appear in 1989?". This question, present on some Apéricube [tn: little wrapped cubes of cheese] wrappers, unleashed a storm of controversy on the internet yesterday. The question goes back to the arrival of young girls at their school in Creil with veils on their heads. The fuss started from Al-Kanz, a web site that features news and analysis, trends and perspectives concerning the halal market and Muslim consumers.

The company caved in completely following a barrage of complaints from Muslims.

"The photo of this wrapper in fact dates from 2010. These questions were taken from our partnership with the game Trivial Pursuit,", it specified first of all.

"We are well aware that some people could find this question shocking. It is totally inappropriate and does not reflect in any way the position of Bel and the brand Apéricube, whose values make respect for the beliefs, the culture and the convictions of each other a fundamental principle."
The internet is fuelling intolerance and hatred, according to Lord Sacks.
He said he has grown increasingly alarmed by how hate-filled material can be spread on social networks with apparent impunity.

The Chief Rabbi, who will continue to campaign on the issue after he retires next week, said the law should be extended to force internet service providers and the owners of social networks and other websites to remove material that would otherwise be classed as ‘hate speech’.

He said: ‘It’s very difficult, but they do have to be vigilant, and they have to take hate speech off their websites as soon as they discover it.’

He stressed that he was not against new technology – Lord Sacks has his own Facebook and Twitter accounts – but highlighted the damaging effects of the anonymity available online.

‘We are worried about the social media because you can post abusive comments without the person being in your physical presence,’ he said. ‘That anonymity and that distance mean that the internet is one of the great carriers of prejudice and paranoia, and I don’t take it lightly.’

To understand this "Danish" Jihadi's lingo you need to know that Mahdi is a prophet that has a central position for Sunni Muslims, while Bashar al-Assad is Alawi, which is a branch within Shia Islam. I corrected Ahmed Samsam's very poor Danish spelling and inserted the missing full stops:

A FATHER is appealing for information after his 15-year old daughter was brutally attacked outside an exclusive Marbella disco.

Nicole Zanlith was waiting for a taxi with a friend outside the Olivia Valere discotheque when an argument broke out at around 7am.

She stepped in to defend her friend when the attackers turned on her, thrusting a bottle in her face and leaving her with six gashes on her forehead and one across her eye.

The six attackers left the scene on foot and the girl’s father, a Danish resident in Marbella, is offering a reward of €2000 for information leading to the arrest of the attackers.

Zanlith, who had been to see French DJ Bob Sinclair at the venue, has been left blind in one eye.

After various days of investigation, police have succeeded in determining the identity of the alleged attacker, who was accompanied by five friends, all of them of North African origin, according to witnesses. However, as yet it has not been possible to apprehend the suspect, who is a minor. The different sources consulted confirmed that a search and arrest order has been issued in connection with the injuries caused to the young girl.

The German police is holding a recruitment event in a mosque controlled by the extremist Milli Gorus movement. Milli Gorus was founded in Turkey in 1969 by the politician Necmettin Erbakan, whose religiously-oriented parties were banned by the Turkish government for violating Turkish laws on secularism. The movement, which has since spread around the world along with Turkish colonist populations, aims at overthrowing the existing secular order and replacing it with an Islamic one, with borders melting away to form one grand Islamic nation. It is generally anti-Western and antisemitic.

Even the German agencies for protection of the constitution have been critical of the movement in their annual reports. But that doesn't seem to have deterred the police from seeking new recruits from among its ranks.
On Sunday 25/08/13, between 10 am and 3 pm, there will be a careers information event in an unusualy place, namely a mosque.

Several public employers in Braunschweif and the Islamic community of Braunschweig want to pursue a new path of integration.

It is intended not just for young members of the Islamic community, but all young people from the Braunschweig region, regardless of their faith.

In this way we want to make a contribution to integration and integrating young people professionally into German society; Braunschweig employers want to be helpful in this regard.

The event motto is therefore: "Others talks, we Braunschweigers act!"

The event will take place in the mosque in Varrentrappstraße 21 in Braunschweig.

The proportion of foreign nationals sentenced to prison in Sweden has never been as great as it is now.

There is a problem, says the government. Suggestions for more people to serve their sentences in their home countries are now being embraced by consultative bodies.

In the first half of 2013, around 4500 people were sent to Swedish prisons, according to prison authority statistics. Of these, 35 percent were not Swedish citizens.

This is a record share. In 2003 by comparison, the proportion was 25 percent. But the increase has been greatest in the last two years.

Too short, too attractive, too frivolous: because two men (25, 26) didn't like the young woman's clothing, they swore at the 19-year-old at the ring in Rudolfplatz. And then they went further - and became violent!

Two men against one woman: incredible how the ring attackers, Ali H. and Mehmet K. (all names changes) reacted in the night of the 29 December 2012 to her and her clothing.

The woman was waiting for the tram at the stop in Rudolfplatz. The young men apparently didn't like her outfit. Ali insulted her: "Whore, put something on." She then called him the "son of a whore". He then grabbed her, held her and his friend Mehmet lashed out. With the fist in her eyes!

When the police arrived to arrest Mehmet, Ali did not comply with an exclusion order. They were charged with insult, assault and resistance to a public official.

In the court they apologised for their behaviour. "It got a bit out of control, he is sorry," said Ali's lawyer. "I had a black eye. And my clothes weren't that skimpy," explained the 19-year-old (in jeans) in the corridor of the court.

It is clear that is present demographic trends continue, and no dramatic political rupture with the status quo occurs, European civilisation will expire some time in the next century or two. If we ask why this has happened, why it was allowed to occur, the answer must be that a strain of self-hatred in European elite culture has created the conditions for our demise.

Some people blame the Jews for this; or Marxism. Both have had an influence. But the strain of self-hatred clearly predates the influence either of Marxism or Jewish intellectualism.

In the 18th century, for example, French philosophes loved to contrast Europe unfavourably with the Orient. The work Histoire des deux Indes (History of the East and West Indies), which was a sensational best-seller in the late 18th century, popularised the now wearily familiar tropes of anti-European hate discourse, based on our supposed oppression of non-Europeans, decades before Marx was even born. In 1770, the science fiction novel “L’An 2440” was published. It told the story of a man who, after engaging in a discussion about the injustices of pre-revolutionary France, woke up in the Paris of the year 2440. On his travels around the city, he came across a statue to a proud-looking negro, at whose feet lay twenty broken sceptres representing the kingdoms of Europe. “To the Avenger of the New World,” read the inscription.

We are living with the consequences of this European self-hatred today. You would think that people resisting the damaging consequences that this attitude has brought in its wake – the colonisation of the continent by non-Europeans and, most especially, Muslims – would themselves be free of this moral taint. But actually many of them are not at all. In fact, quite a few of them seem to relish indulging it just as much as the multicultists who created this catastrophe in the first place.

Pamela Geller is a good example of a person who continuously implies or explicitly states that Europeans deserve to have their civilisation destroyed because of what some Europeans did to Jews. And this view is a very common one. I come across it often, usually in the comment sections, when I browse American Counterjihad websites. Geller recently posted an article about an Arab harassing a Jewish woman and her child in Sweden.
There was a gentleman sitting in our reserved seat. An Arab, maybe fifty years old, listening to music. Apologizing for the inconvenience, I asked him politely for our seat. He got up, inspected my son, and then leaned over me, saying: You people always take what you want. You need to learn.

He then walked straight into my son, causing him to fall over, and took the seat behind us.

We sat. Hiding my trembling hands from my son’s sight, I picked up Shabbes for Kids and started to review the week’s Torah portion with him. We hadn’t progressed as far as a page before the man stood up and screamed: Quiet! I don’t want to hear that! You take what you want and never think of others! Shut up!

He stamped his feet, grunting and glaring at my son. Fighting tears of rage, I assured Charlie that the man was just grumpy and tried to turned the episode into a game, one that required us to remain super quiet for as long as possible. I even managed to coax a conspiratorial smile out of him.

But even this failed to appease our tormentor, who spent the rest of the trip repeatedly kicking the back of my son’s seat. At one point I glanced around our compartment: there were four other people there, four adults witnessing a single mother and her five-year-old child being attacked by a grown man. They did nothing. I tried forcing them to meet my gaze; but they just turned away, put on their headphones, stared at their screens, ignored what was happening in front of them.

Pamela Geller introduces this article with the words, “Europe doing what it does best.” What does Europe do best, Pamela? Why are Europeans to blame when an Arab colonist that almost none of them would have wanted in their country harasses people on a train?

Now let’s consider this essay on the website Destroy Zionism, which I found linked to on Kevin Macdonald’s website Occidental Observer. For the record, I’m not against Zionism and have no wish to destroy it. In fact, if Zionism simply means supporting the right of the Jews to live in their ancestral homeland, Israel, then I am a Zionist myself. I don’t understand why some people agitate against Zionism unless it’s just a code word that makes antisemitism seem more respectable. But since some of these people and sites are marginal anyway, I don’t see what they would lose from proclaiming their true feelings openly. If I was an antisemite I would say so openly and set out my reasons for being one. And those reasons would be good reasons. As I see it, however, insofar as there is any problem with Jews, it does not relate to Zionism: Jews living in their own homeland. The problem is with diaspora Jews who, because they live as a minority in other people’s countries, disproportionately promote ideas and support political movements that delegitimise the very idea of a people having a moral entitlement to a homeland of their own, deconstructing and denigrating the healthy patriotism of their host communities. Which neatly brings us back to the contents of the article, which traces the rise of multiculturalism in Sweden.
Lars-Erik Hansen’s dissertation Equality and freedom to choose. A study in the emergence of Swedish Immigration Policy (Stockholm University, Department of History, 2001) lists the actors who were a driving force in the debate to introduce the new multicultural policy. Regarding the actors, the study confirms previous academic research on how multiculturalism arose, such as Henry Román’s study En invandrarpolitisk oppositionell : debattören David Schwarz syn på svensk invandrarpolitik åren 1964-1993 [An immigration policy opponent: commentator David Schwarz's view of Swedish immigration policy 1964-1993] who attributes Schwarz “a crucial role” in the game behind the introduction of the new policy.

Thus, the ideological change started in 1964 when David Schwarz, a Polish born Jew and “Holocaust” survivor who immigrated to Sweden in the early 1950s, wrote the article “The Immigration problem in Sweden” in Sweden’s largest and most important morning newspaper – the Jewish-owned Dagens Nyheter (“Daily News”). It started a rancorous debate that mostly took place in Dagens Nyheter, but which subsequently continued even in other newspapers, on editorial pages and in books. Hansen (2001) writes in his thesis (p. 115):

The leading debaters who were the first to claim minority rights and conditions were especially David Schwarz, Inga Gottfarb, Amadeo Cottio, Voldemer Kiviaed, Géza Thinsz and Lukasz Winiarki – all of which had an immigrant background.

Besides Schwarz, Gottfarb had Jewish descent. Kiviaed was Estonian, Géza Thinsz immigrated from Hungary in 1956 (the same year as the massive persecution of Jews started which would have the effect that within a few decades half of Hungary’s Jews had fled the country) and Lukasz Winiarki immigrated from Poland. Schwarz was by far the most active opinion-former and accounted for 37 of a total of 118 contributions to the debate on the immigration issue in the years 1964-1968. Schwarz and his co-thinkers were so dominant and aggressive that debaters with an alternative view were driven on the defensive and felt their views suppressed. For example, Schwarz played the anti-Semitism card efficiently in order to discredit his opponents. Hansen writes (pp. 114, 126-128, 217):

An increasing number of commentators and publishers made similar criticisms against what they saw as the majority’s lack of understanding of minorities’ conditions, particularly in the non-clearly stated, yet what many saw as a real policy of assimilation, which they feared would lead to an erasure of the different minority cultures and life patterns to amount to the rectifying or conformist national majority’s established pattern. Strongest in this criticism was David Schwarz and Voldemar Kiviaed – they claimed that the assimilation zealots appeared in the spirit of the Russians in the Baltic states and that their approach could also be compared with Eichmann’s ‘final solution’, although in more humane shape. Increased government action was required to avoid assimilation, partly by direct financial support to minorities, partly by an official policy for a pluralistic society. [...]

The policy toward Jewish immigration to Sweden, especially during World War II, was put forward as a blot in the Swedish political history. Bruno Kaplan, head of the teaching of the Jewish community in Stockholm and represented in the World Jewish Congress, lined up a number of examples of this regulatory policy (exclusion model), partly student protest against importation of some Jewish doctors in 1938, partly a number of leading newspapers which warned of this immigration. Leif Zern [who, like Kaplan, is Jewish, blogger's note] emphasized Kaplan’s view that it was clear from the then existing policy that there was anti-Semitism, and stressed: “Of course there are no statistics on how many Jews the feature (the regulation of Jewish immigration) led to the gas chambers.” [...]

Bruno Kaplan was convinced that the survival of a small Jewish minority depended on how the state and municipalities acted – a policy that advocated tolerance and respect for minority distinctiveness was necessary. In this spirit should the Jewish minority, in their efforts to preserve their identity, get the full support from Swedish society. [...]

David Schwarz was the most active debater in the immigrant issue, his views and values had a major impact. David Schwarz became the first and foremost spokesman of the pluralistic state intervention model [...]

In the official immigrant debate, some players played a big role in the policy process, especially adherents of multiculturalism. [...] They encouraged the political parties to address the issue of ethnic equality on the agenda. Then, a veritable race began to see who was the biggest and best in the immigrant issue.

The debate gave rise to government investigations such as Invandrarutredningen (The Immigrant Investigation) 1968 which formed the basis for the government’s bill (1975:26) on guidelines for immigrant and minority policy which was adopted by a totally unanimous Swedish Parliament in 1975. David Schwarz got what he wanted, which was to be a fateful decision whose consequences we see the results of today. The starting point was thus a cultural pluralist perspective, which meant that immigrants with massive government intervention and financial support would be encouraged to preserve their culture (and thus send out signals to the world that Sweden is a tolerant country where everyone is welcome). The meeting between the Swedish culture and minority cultures would be enriching to the whole community and the majority population would begin to adapt to the minorities. The integration goal would be a reciprocal process in which both parties meet on the road (which in practice means increasing rootlessness). Moreover, increased internationalization of Swedish society was seen as an overall objective in the whole community planning.

Now I don’t have any significant knowledge of Swedish history. I’ve been learning Swedish and perhaps, in time, will acquire enough knowledge to be able to independently evaluate the claims made in this article. For now, I will say that the presentation seems fairly cogent and convincing to me. If there are Swedes (or non-Swedes) out there who want to challenge this account, I’d love to hear from them in the comments section.

But let’s assume it’s true. What do we have then? Swedes didn’t want their country to be colonised by aliens but were stigmatised as Nazis by Jews and thus intellectually intimidated into agreeing to it. The colonisation takes place, mostly by Muslims, who then persecute the Jews living in Sweden. The Swedes are then stigmatised as Nazis by Jews for having let the Muslims in. What’s wrong with this picture?

When are we going to see some assumption of moral responsibility from the many Jews active in the Counterjihad movement? Europeans have been apologising for the Holocaust for more than half a century, including Europeans whose ancestors had nothing to do with it and even fought against its perpetrators. Jews have been disproportionately involved in promoting Communism and multiculturalism, ideologies that have already blighted and ruined large parts of Europe and may well end up destroying European civilisation completely. When are we going to see some expressions of regret and apology, and acknowledgement of fault, by Jews for their overwhelmingly disproportionate involvement in these catastrophic political movements, which, as we see, have ended up harming Jews as well as native Europeans? I suspect the answer is never. Every time any Europeans stood up to issue warnings about the consequences of third-world immigration they were branded Nazis, often but not exclusively by Jews. And when the last Jew has been driven out of Europe by its Muslim invaders, the whole historical process will simply be folded into the "Nazi European" narrative.

Saying that Europeans deserve to have their civilisation wiped out because some Europeans treated Jews badly in the past is the moral equivalent of saying that Jews deserved to suffer the Holocaust because some Jews played a leading role in Communist movements. Yet one remark is so common as to be banal, and provokes almost no reaction, even from cowed Europeans themselves; while the other would provoke immediate and almost universal outrage.

Europeans involved in the Counterjihad movement are accustomed to accept these insane anti-European tirades on the American websites they visit without a murmur of demur. Perhaps they are afraid of being branded Nazis. Perhaps they have internalised the anti-European hatred. The problem is that this meek acceptance of anti-European hate discourse, this state of moral intimidation, is exactly the mindset that led to the problem we now face: the islamisation of our continent. There is no way out for Europeans unless they learn to recover a natural pride in their culture and history and a healthy and ruthless willingness to pursue their own self-interest and bite back against those who attack them, including intellectually. That means, at some level, ceasing to care what other people think of us. It means, among other things, no longer allowing Americans or Jews to define us according to their own narrow self-perceptions and interests.

I started this website in part because I saw that there was no serious English-language voice for Europe within the anti-Islam movement. All of the major English-language websites are non-European. At best, they fail to take the distinctive circumstances of Europe into account; at worst, they relay the same kind of anti-European hate discourse (Oh, Nazis!) that created the problem in the first place. Almost all activists in the European Counterjihad movement continue to be intellectually dominated by these foreign websites. They must learn to free their minds and think as Europeans if our civilisation is to survive.

Of the 31,337 defendants who were involved in cases of fake marriages initiated by the Belgian public prosecutor in the period 2010-2012, 11,493 (36.9 percent) were of Belgian origin, 6,371 of Moroccan origin (20.33 percent), 1,445 were Turks (4.6 percent), 890 Algerian (2.8 percent) and 735 Tunisian (2.3 percent). One in four were of unknown nationality.

This information was provided in a reply of Justice Minister Annemie Turtelboom to a written question from Sarah Smeyers (N-VA).

In the year 2010, 5,610 cases were brought before the public prosecutor. In 2011 there were 5,770 and in 2012 there were 4,711. Most of the 4,711 cases in 2012 were situated in the judicial district of Brussels (1590), followed by Liege (488), Dendermonde (436), Charleroi (282), Kortrijk (242), Bruges (226) Ghent (191) , Bergen (186), Hasselt (166), Leuven (120), Tongeren (116), Tournai (111) and Names (103).
It's not a banal act of vandalism. It's a veritable business that is targeting Christian cemeteries in Algeria. Those responsible for the profanation, who form part of an international network, open the graves, rob the bodies of their objects of value, taken with them, to re-sell them in the salons of western capitals. The national police is investigating an international network.

The profanation of the graves, a phenomenon that has been in fashion for several years, has just yielded its first secrets. Last Tuesday evening, three individuals were arrested after being caught red-handed violating a tomb in which four French people were buried. The latter, buried in the years 1873 and 1947, had taken vases of great value with them into the tomb.

The imam who defected: Extremists run all Danish mosques

Finally he is there – on the podium of The Free Press Society. It is half past seven PM, Thursday, August 22, 2013, as the former Islamicist imam and deadly enemy of the Free Press Society, Ahmed Akkari, faces his most fierce critics.
A tiny man with more than a hundred deaths and the burning of two Danish embassies on his conscience.
– Thank you for inviting me. I don’t know if I deserve all this, but perhaps my journey through life may be of use to you, says Ahmed Akkari as he timidly surveys the packed hall in the heart of Copenhagen.
Since ex-Islamist Ahmed Akkari came out of the closet three weeks ago, he has been the man of the hour. On television shows, in newspaper articles and on radio, he has tried to explain what has happened to him. He went from being a hardened and fierce Islamicist to a kindly and thoughtful person, filled with love and gratitude for Denmark.
The metamorphosis is difficult to explain and hard to believe. Is his conversion sincere or he is he applyingtaqqiya – the right of Muslims to lie and deceive in the service of Islam?
In 1985, when Akkari was six, his parents fled to Denmark from war-torn Lebanon. They chose Denmark because it was a safe country without too many immigrants – thinking that they would find a peaceful life here.
Ahmed Akkari attended public school as the only immigrant in his class. He had every chance in the world to adapt and become a normal Dane. But in his teens he was drawn to religious circles and before realizing what was happening, he had become poisoned by extremism.
– The truth is that there is not a single mosque or Muslim organization in Denmark that is not run by Islamists. As soon as you enter the house of the believers, you are met with Islamism whether you want it or not. As soon as you become a devoted Muslim, you are infected by extremism, says Ahmed Akkari.

He embarked on an education as an imam and suddenly he detested democracy and free speech. Allah and life after death became his only concerns. When the daily Jyllands-Posten published the famous Muhammed cartoons in September 2005, he was instrumental in condemning Denmark. Together with other imams he traveled to The Middle East in order to stir up a glowing hatred against the small northern country that had had the audacity to offend the prophet. The result: riots leading to the death of more than a hundred people, two Danish embassies burnt to the ground and a boycott of Danish products.
Vengefully, Akkari and his cohorts tried to force then Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen to apologize for Jyllands-Posten’s cartoons. But the Prime Minister stood firm and explained that Denmark enjoys freedom of the press and that he neither could nor would apologize. That made no impression on Denmark’s boisterous cultural elite that just could not understand why one had to offend the country’s and the world’s Muslims this way.

But now Ahmed Akkari understands. He has undergone a metamorphosis. How did that happen? And can we trust him?
It all started when Akkari got help to return to Denmark from Lebanon in 2006. He had settled there for a while but suddenly found himself in the midst of a war after Hezbollah had started firing rockets into Israel and was met with air attacks and ground operations. Denmark evacuated several thousand citizens – among them Ahmed Akkari.
–Despite the fact that I had done so much damage to Denmark, the country let me in again. Nobody arrested me at the airport. I was not interrogated and nobody questioned my right to return.
His gratitude is palpable. He would not have been surprised if he had been met with another reaction. Has he deserved this treatment?
Ahmed Akkari sought work as a teacher in Greenland – a constituent part of the Danish realm – and there he embarked on the process that lead to his conversion.

During his time with the imams, he encountered more falsehood than he has ever experienced. They smile at you but work against you, he explains. When he went to Greenland, he still believed in the Islamic ideology. The fault, as he saw it, lay with people who did not interpret it in the right way.
– It starts with people – the thoughts come later, he says.
In the stillness of the polar nights, the thoughts came to Akkari. He started reading the world’s most important books.
– I read all the philosophers of the Enlightenment. I read world history and I realized that people are what they read. There was so much I didn’t know. I read about the freedom fighters who throughout history have tried to prevent religion from curtailing free thought and I realized that Denmark was in fact the oasis my parents had imagined.

Ahmed Akkari. © Roger Sahlström

A couple of years ago, it finally dawned on Akkari. He had made his choice but had no intention of going public. A journalist made him change his mind and three weeks ago, the daily B.T. published the story: Denmark’s enemy number one asks for forgiveness.
He has had coffee with the cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, who drew the most famous of the Muhammed cartoons and who was subsequently the victim of an assassination attempt for having ”offended the prophet”.
– I was overwhelmed by the way Westergaard accepted me and forgave me. He showed me precisely what is so fantastic about Denmark.
A member of the audience asked Akkari if he had been sent to Greenland to convert the Greenlanders and establish the first Muslim state in the Western world.
– No. I understand the question but the truth is that I prayed to God never to send any Muslims to Greenland. I was so tired of corrupt imams spreading their totalitarian ideology that I was convinced they would not only melt the ice cap if they had come there, but set it on fire.
The priest Søren Krarup asked Ahmed Akkari if he understood that Christianity is the reason why Denmark is such a peaceful oasis. Akkari responded that he understood Krarup’s thinking but gave no clear answer. It is obvious that he hopes for a dialogue with Muslims who are still in the grip of the extremists and that he doesn’t want to burn all his bridges.

How does he think that Danes and Swedes should react to the Islamization of our countries?
– Go on being as tolerant and wonderful as you are, but don’t be so naive! Stick to your traditions and don’t give preferential treatment to Muslims. They should not have the right to behave badly in countries that have let them in. I once thought that Denmark was a country of pig-lovers that had to be forced to bend to Islam. Now I don’t understand why I thought that way. You have the right to keep your peaceful countries with your culture and traditions.

The evening is over and Ahmed Akkari happily accepts the Free Press Society’s mug with the famous drawing of Muhammed with a bomb in his turban. He looks tired but pleased. As the audience leave the hall, most of them seem convinced that Akkari has been sincere.
The only losers are the members of the Danish cultural elite who stood on his side but are now standing with their pants down."

"Four Egyptian women, four remarkably similar views about Egypt. Merna is a student,  Hilda and Injy are graduates, and Yara is a teaching assistant at university in Cairo. They are in London for a week for a media training course with the Thomson Reuters Foundation. They’ve lived through the turbulence of the past few weeks and the instability of the past year of Muslim Brotherhood government. All are Muslim; two wear veils, two don’t. None is a Muslim Brotherhood supporter.
They are confident and articulate. These middle-class young women feel that the year of Brotherhood government was divisive for society, calamitous for the economy and bad for women. Three were abused for not wearing sufficiently Islamic dress during the past year and they attribute this not just to the Muslim Brotherhood, but to the collapse in law and order it presided over.
None is opposed to the intervention of the army after the popular uprising against the government of President Morsi, though one felt it went too far. All of them are instinctively against international interference in Egypt, including sanctions — something British ministers might reflect on.
To a greater or lesser extent they feel the portrayal of events in Egypt in the international press is one-sidedly against the military, at odds with popular opinion. Their views do not always get reflected in the reports of foreign correspondents or pundits, but they are representative of an awful lot of Egyptian women.
Here they are, in their words:"

"In 2012 506 people of Turkish origin moved back to Turkey, according to Statistics Denmark.
The amount of Turks giving up Danish citizenship or residential permit is increasing. The number of emigrating Danish-Turks increased from 325 in 2010 to 495 in 2011. Preliminary figures from the first and second quarters of 2013 indicate that this trend continues this year.
A major reason for the increase is that more 20 to 34-year-old Turks decided to try their luck in Turkey.
'Because of the growing economy in Turkey young people find more and more opportunities to use their language and cultural skills in their home country,' said Jens Stensgaard Jakobsen, an anthropologist specializing in young Danish-Turks."

Bremen road construction workers were attacked and injured by a 30-strong immigrant group. After intensive investigations, the first six of the suspects have now been traced, the Justice department said on Thursday. The incident has triggered xenophobic reactions. A politician who called for moderation has since been insulted and threatened. The incident occurred 14 days ago. According to police, four people wanted to pass through a road construction works, because otherwise they would have had to take a detour because of the road blockage. As the construction workers prohibited them from doing this, a war of words broke out. Later the passers-by returned with a 30-strong group.

They beat and kicked the workers. Four of those attacked had to be treated in the clinic. One suffered a stab wound in the back. The perpetrators are said to be members of a Kurdish-Lebanese minority, the so-called Mhallami. Around one half of the 2600 Mhallami in Bremen are known to the police. At a vigil attended by residents and politicians, district official Annemarie Czichon condemnded the attack, but warned about sweeping prejudices against the Mhallami clan. She sees the attack as a "unique slip-up" that has nothing to do with nationality or religion. After her speech, anti-Islam internet sites whipped up feelings against the 57-year-old, who has no party affiliation; she received a flood of hate mails. The police are now examining whether any of these constituted criminal offences.

In the meantime the heads of the Mhallami families have met the construction workers. As a sign of reconciliation they brought coffee and pastries. They said the perpetrators must be condemned - but not entire groups of people.

I posted about this attack here.

This article was prompted by the Jonny K. case, which attracted a lot of attention in Germany. It involved five Turks attacking someone for no reason, and then attacking Jonny K. when he tried to intervene. He suffered severe injuries then died a few days later. Last week the perps were sentenced to just a few years in prison.

The video above (from Deutsche Welle) gives background information on the incident, although, being the German BBC, it, of course, fails to mention the ethnic angle.

The ethnic angle was discussed in this article in Focus. At first I thought the author was being ironic, contemptuously mocking the shibboleths of the politically correct by exaggerating them for comic effect. Then I realised he was actually being completely serious.

The article is called "Why we are responsible for criminal immigrants".

Some youths with an immigrant background are twice as violent as youths from Germany. A closer look at the criminal statistics bring some surprising insights, however - and shows who could solve the problem.

The Alexanderplatz attackers will now have to spend years behind bars. Out of the blue they put the boot into the 20-year-old Jonny K. on 14 October 2012. He died shortly afterwards from brain haemmorhages. The verdict came last Thursday: four and a half years for the main perpetrator Onur U. Afterwards Germany engaged in a discussion again: do youths of immigrant origin actually engage in violence more often than Germans of the same age?

The answer is: yes and no. Researchers also speak of a finding that is also very clear: if specific groups engage in violence more often, the fault for this also belongs to German society itself. "The decisive thing is social integration," says Christian Pfeiffer, Director of the Criminological Institute of Lower Saxony. Although immigrants have an obligation too, "Our welcoming culture is underdeveloped."

The discussion is as old as it is controversial and highly charged. Every opinion, every figure, every estimate on the topic can become political - or be abused by neo-Nazis for their brown goals. For that reason researchers point at the responsibility of the Germans. "The better integration works in the schools, the lower the violence," says Pfeiffer. When a correct comparison is made, meaning youths with and with an immigrant background, who have similar life and educational tracks, the result is clear: "Then their violent behaviour is completely identical with Germans."

In other words: if society succeeds better in the integration of youths with an immigrant background, the rate of violence falls. "Some immigrants are more violent than Germans," says the Munich criminologist Heinz Schöch. "That has a simple explanation: when they learn at home that problems are solved with their fists, this transfers to the youth." According to the KFN, the same applies when there are lots of violent friends around.

Everyone has prejudices

In addition there is no homogeneous group of immigrants. This overarching term covers lots of distinct nationalities. And for that reason the sweeping judgement that youth with an immigrant background are more often criminal than Germans is wrong. There are no official figures. Researchers must therefore rely on background studies. The conclusion of these KFN studies: there are groups in which the rate of violence is higher than those of German origin - and there are groups in which it is lower. The general tendency is as follows: as education increases, the rate of violence declines. And that is something that society can influence. As can politicians, by putting more money into education.

One example: the institute polled around 45,000 youths. Currently the study is being repeated with around 10,000 participants. One result from 2008: if a youth of immigrant origin has a German in his circle of friends, the rate of violence declines. Another result: Turks want to have Germans as neighbours, but don't under any circumstances want to live next to someone of the Jewish faith. Germans in turn want Swedes as neighbours, but reject Turks. "Muslim groups have it especially difficult because the rejection is especially high," concludes Pfeiffer. Everyone has their own prejudices: "But with Turks it is especially clear how disappointed they are."

A companion article gives the following figures for immigrant crime in Germany.

Foreign suspects are 29.2% of the total in Bavaria and 24% in Germany, a gross overrepresentation. But, of course, Germans must somehow be to blame for this.

Islam may be illegal according to Danish law
(By: Nicolai Sennels)

An enraged negress drove her car into a kebab shop. This appears to have been a hate crime. It is not clear who the negress hated, however. It may have been Muslims because the target was a kebab shop and the CCTV footage appears to show Muslim-looking people but some of the victims' names sound British.
The prosecution also told the court an eyewitness had heard her say "I'll run you all over", "I hate you all" and "I'll mow you all down".
Source: BBC

The Daily Mail account below leaves out the crucial quote above. The BBC article linked to, though, shows no photo of the perp and, of course, fails to mention the fact that she was a negress. Thus must truth be assembled in the age of unreason, shard by shard.
A mother who drove into a kebab shop injuring four people including a close friend has been jailed after trying to blame the crash on her flip flops.

Navlet Anderson, 50, claimed her shoes got stuck under the pedals of her car before it crashed into Antalya kebab shop in Bristol.

She drove her Vauxhall Corsa into Stephen Brothwood before crashing straight through the front windows of the shop and hitting another bystander on April 28.

Despite Mr Brothwood being described as a 'dear friend' and neighbour, the mother-of-two reversed over him as she tried to escape.

Anderson abandoned her car on top of her injured victim who suffered a punctured lung, fractured ribs and legs.

Three other people were hurt and the shop suffered thousands of pounds of damage.
She was cleared yesterday of causing grievous bodily harm with intent but found guilty of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

It is thought she is one of the first people to be found guilty of the new charge after legislation brought it into law last year.

Judge Geoffrey Mercer QC jailed her for three years at Bristol Crown Court and told her it was a matter of 'pure fortune' no-one was killed.

He said: 'I have not the slightest doubt you were driving in anger. Your anger may have been directed specifically at someone other than those who had the misfortune to be there and be struck by the car.

'But the reality is you drove in such a way in your anger that you had no regard as to who might be in you way.

'Four people were hurt, one seriously, Mr Brothwood, described as a friend, but he was seriously hurt and I have no doubt the injuries he sustained have had, and will continue to have, a significant effect on his life.

'It will be obvious to anybody that has heard the evidence that it is a matter of pure fortune that the injuries were not worse and that somebody was not killed.'

Anderson was also disqualified from driving for five years and will need to pass an extended test.

The court heard Anderson, from Redfield, Bristol, told police the sole of her right flip-flop jammed underneath the accelerator.

She told officers: 'My flip-flop got caught. The accelerator pedal was between my toe and the base of my shoe.

'The flip-flop was underneath the accelerator pedal. It was a sandwich and I was not able to brake.

'The car went through the kebab shop window. I did not see anyone in front of me.'
Anderson said she threw the right flip-flop out of the car window and reversed in shock.
She then pulled the car forward and saw Mr Brothwood on the ground.

She said: 'I wondered what he was doing there. I thought the glass fell on him. I know him very well. He is a neighbour, a dear friend.'

Anderson recalled how she momentarily went to her home nearby 'in a daze' before police arrived and arrested her.

Chester Beyts, defending Anderson, said: 'She has always been remorseful and apologetic for her actions once she realised the gravity of what had occurred.'

Anderson was also handed a three month prison sentence to run alongside after she pleaded guilty to assault by beating.

In a statement DC Simon Atyeo said: 'The victims are still coming to terms with what happened that day, and some are still dealing with the injuries they suffered during this incident, so we are pleased with today’s verdict and hope it will go some way towards helping them with their healing process, and assist them with their recovery.'
