MEP Soren Sondergaard fears that the growing distrust of the EU could explode into a civil war if we do not take a fundamental debate on the whole project. 45 percent of Danes do not trust the EU and on the European level 60 percent do not trust the union.
The latest Eurobarometer survey from the EU statistics office Eurostat shows that Europeans' distrust has doubled since 2007. ...
We can not continue to have such a huge difference between what people want, and the policy implemented," Søndergaard said.
Sondergaard stresses that although the People's Movement against the EU wants Denmark to withdraw from the EU, they are in favor of European cooperation. He predicts that if one does not take the debate, it ends in an 'explosion'
'This can result in civil war...'"

'Civil war' is exactly what the EU totalitarians want, in order to implement the footnote to a footnote in the Lisbon Treaty which restores the death penalty to Europe for the 'crime' of riots or civil unrest directed against the European Union which I hope people now realise is styling itself as a "State" and which has announced its plans for "its" very own air force and military and is also planning on drones to spy on the peoples of Europe. The EU's own army, the EUGENDFOR, doesn't get much publicity in British or European media and it's to be assumed that, should the 'need' to quell disturbances (threats to the continuation of the EU), that the EU will be careful to ensure that amongst its death squads will be Moslems who will pursue their 'duties' with dedication. Also, they'll be careful to ensure that few of the EUGENDFOR soldiers in such a mission will be natives of the country targetted for this military action, to avoid conflicting loyalties and having the operation sabotaged from within. Of course, the continuing politicisation of the police and army, in every Western country, does also mean that they are being primed to believe the propaganda that the greatest threat to 'peace' comes from that unicorn of "far-right extremists" rather than the Left and its own storm troopers, the Moslems.

I agree with the comment above.

The European Gendarmerie Force
EUROGENDERFOR means the multinational police force with military status. (from their site)

It appears to be an armed military force which can be used by the EU for domestic purposes.

The European Gendarmerie Force (EGF) is a multinational initiative of six EU Member States - France, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Romania and Spain – established by treaty with the aim to strengthen international crisis management capacities and contribute to the development of the Common Security and Defense Policy.

EUROGENDFOR can be considered as an integrated police tool designed to carry out police missions in different theatres, including destabilized ones, in support of the European Union (EU), the United Nations (UN), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), or possibe ad hoc coalitions.
