The National Police have arrested a 43-year-old man, as the suspected perpetrator of the wounds suffered by two women, mother and daughter, around 10.30 pm yesterday, in Filiberto Villalobos Avenue. The suspected perpetrator of the acts, who has 29 previous arrests under 11 different identities, will appear in front of the Court of First Instance.

The officers responded to a 091 call indicating that some people were being attacked. Once they were there, according to witnesses, they established that when two women were walking their dog, an individual approached them and, without a word, grabbed the dog lead and started to pull it strongly until the dog was lifted from the ground, kicking it all the while.

When they tried to get it away from him, by also pulling on the lead, the individual started to shout in an unintelligible manner, punching both women in the face, for which they had to be treated later in hospital. The disturbance caused some passers-by to approach, the attacker then fleeing. The characteristics of the individual, of the negro race and Somali nationality, led to him being found immediately and arrested in the roundabout of the same avenue, which leads to the Carmen district.

Last September, the same man was responsible for an alteraction where Azafranal Street meets the Gran Vía, in which he shouted at various people, causing damage to a vehicle with a woman and two children inside, and later tried to strangle a one-and-a-half-year-old girl whose parents were taking her for a walk in a pram, by tying shoelaces around her neck.

The arrested man was extremely agitated, in a state of excitement and very violent "as if he had lost control of himself", said various witnesses. After he appeared in front of the Court of First Instance, he was ordered to be placed in preventive detention. However, he was already free despite being in an irregular situation in Spain.

So, I suppose something as crazy as deportation would be completely out of the question.
