Poster controversy at the University of Duisburg-Essen: Because a comic exhibition showed sex scenes and the word "Allah" next to one another, a Muslim student felt her honour had been infringed. She complained, destroyed a poster. Then the exhibition was ended earlier than planned.

A debate about dealing with the religious feelings of Muslim students has broken out at the university. More than one in three students from the University of Duisburg-Essen comes from a family with an immigration background.

The exhibit in question came from the graphic novel "Habibi" by the American Craig Thompson. Reading Thompson's statements about Islam and Muslims, it's clear that he has a mentality typical of the politically correct islamophile. And his book is available in the shops. It's not something marginal and incendiary. But that's still not good enough for the Mohammedans.

Although the university showed typical dhimmi submissiveness to Muslim demands, the student in question is to be charged with property damage and some of the local politicians are talking about staging a special exhibits of the controversial works to show that artistic freedom cannot be compromised.
