People belonging to extremist movements can easily serve in the Belgian army. The defence minister Pieter De Crem has no legal basis for expelling soldiers because of their Salafist convictions, said the De Morgen newspaper on Thursday.
A few weeks ago, however, the minister had promised that extremists would be shown the door. "Any Salafism at the heart of the defence department will not be tolerated and will lead irrevocably to dismissal," he had indicated to the defence commission after it was announced that were around a dozen soldiers with radical islamist convictions at the heart of the military intelligence service.
But according to an internal report, the legal means to do this are lacking. As long as it involves groups or organisations that are not prohibited by law, soldiers are permitted to join them.
"In reality the army cannot oppose them", explains Dirk Deboodt of CGSP Défense [trade union]. "A soldier who smokes a joint is at greater risk of being excluded from the army than a soldier who is a member of Blood&Honour or a soldier whose goal is to wage jihad in Somalia."

Salafist leaders in Morocco have condemned the French military intervention in Mali, calling it a “Zionist crusade” and labelling all Muslims who participate in it “ungodly.”
“No Islamic state should provide facilities, such as the use of airspace, to non-Muslims against a Muslim state. It is forbidden by Islam,” wrote Omar Haddouchi, a well-known Salafist, on his Facebook page late on Wednesday.
“Whoever has given support to non-Muslims (in the conflict) is considered ungodly,” Haddouchi added.
Another radical Islamist, Abderrazak Ajah, said Moroccans must “choose between supporting the Islamist fighters as best we can or the Zionist crusade and its agents,” also posting his comments on social media.

Blood & Honour, even fascism and Nazism are unquestionably expressions of European nationalism. I neither love these movements nor think they are the "great hope" for defeating Islam, but European nationalism in some form certainly is. The islamisation of Europe has come about because of the kind of anti-European bigotry you express in your comment, it having become the official ideology of the world's ruling class.

That comment (20 January 2013 21:06) is yet another example from you of the kind of excellent and clear thought, excellently articulated, that we need if we are ever to get people's browbeaten minds to stop mislabelling as racism the normal desire to survive as an ethnic group and culture, or an ethnically-rooted culture, or whatever is the best way of saying it.
As you can see, I'm still struggling to flesh out the precise shape of this, but when I see Europe, the ethnic homeland of my ancestors, being destroyed as anything other than a set of increasingly porous and meaningless political boundaries, I must try to put words to that which is being destroyed.
