"Why does our society react furiously to the words of a bishop," he also asked, referring to himself, criticised for an interview implying that homosexual marriage could open the path to polygamy and incest. According to him, antisemitism and islamophobia are growing along with hostility to Christianity:
"In some districts, the Christians are afraid . A priest was spat on in the metro because of the crucifix he was wearing," he revealed.

I am an irish catholic and this nearly brings me to tears. France, france 4% practising catholic what a disgrace and three times more muslims. HOW DID THIS EVRER HAPPEN? I truely believe the last days are here. France was once recruiting ground for the glorious crusades now priests are spat on. God help france.
I do though believe in a final victory, for nothing is impossible with God's help.
The French revolution destroyed the cultural roots of France. It destroyed not just the churches but everything else that was good and brave in France. From then on its been a long downward descent to the present.
