An 18-year-old "jeune" has been taken into custody this Wednesday morning by the judicial police of Toulon. In the course of searching his home, the investigators discovered the photo of one of the managers of the weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, but also two large butcher's knives that had been purchased recently. The "jeune", whose internet connections seem to show that he was extremely interested in the Mohammed cartoons published by Charlie Hebdo, caused concern among his acquaintances because of his agitated behaviour and his confused remarks, such as "that's not on, that's not on, that's not on, I can't let them do that."

He is to undergo a psychiatric examination tomorrow.
