This is an interesting post from Business Insider even though mis-describes patriotism as xenophobia and wrongly classifies Ankara as being part of Europe.

Business Insider refers to "foreigners"

There may however, be a huge difference between 'foreigners' and 'muslims'

'Foreigners' may very well be people who respect the native people and their culture, assimilating and integrating..

Whereas for 'muslims'..that's a totally different question.

Of course, natives will be hostile to "foreigners" who behave and act like colonizers.

Note that Ankara in Turkey was considered part of Europe...
