Remember Tariq Jahan, the Good Muslim? The Pride of Britain? The man Labour leader Ed Miliband described as "the true face of Britain"? Now imagine that face contorted in violent rage. Road rage.

No doubt using the mastery of the thuggish arts that once earned him a job as a bodyguard for senior officials of the Muslim extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir, Tariq Jahan broke a man's jaw and knocked two of his teeth out in a recent eruption of road rage.
A 'hero' father whose son was run over and killed during the August riots has been charged with assault following an alleged road-rage attack.

Tariq Jahan, 47, who was honoured at the Pride of Britain awards this week, became a national hero when he urged people not to seek revenge after his 21-year-old son Haroon was knocked down and killed in Birmingham at the height of riots.

But now it has emerged Mr Jahan has been arrested and charged with seriously assaulting a man during a road-rage incident, allegedly breaking his jaw and knocking out two of his teeth.

Mr Jahan, from Winson Green, Birmingham, is accused of assaulting the alleged victim in the Handsworth area of the city on July 6, a month before his son was murdered.

He was arrested soon after the incident and bailed pending further police inquiries.

He was charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent a week ago at a police station in Birmingham city centre and will appear before magistrates on Monday.
