After Lampedusa, Turin. A revolt has broken out in the immigrant reception centre in administrative centre of Piedmont, without around 20 foreigners having escaped: 10 have been arrested. There are injuries and bruises among the forces of order. It seems that this violent protest was triggered by a demonstration by a group of anarchists who started to throw tennis balls into the centre. These contained tracts inciting a revolt.

The non-EU citizens who escaped succeeded in climbing the metal railings, which were pushed down during the protest, and the fences in the reception centre, despite the many security patrols that came to help their colleauges try and restore order. Gendarmes and members of the military are now on the scene.
