Islam versus Europe: The Cup of the Prophet Has Been Returned!!!

Did you know that Britain had the Cup of the Prophet in its possession? No? Don't get too excited, though, because we don't have it any longer. It seems the Chechens have somehow acquired it from us. Damn.

Never mind. The "return" of the "Prophet's" cup to Chechnya did at least generate some priceless real-life comedy as the cup was welcomed back with great ceremony by the country's top officials.

Look at the poor savages in this video. It must be one of the greatest days in the history of Chechnya. The prophet's cup (and two of his carpets) get an open-top Rolls-Royce escort to the Grand Mosque of Grozny, accompanied by the country's president, Ramzan Kadyrov, who is visibly moved and eventually breaks down in tears.

The story behind this foolishness is this: the Chechens claim the descendants of Mohammed had to flee Saudi Arabia because of Wahhabi persecution and somehow ended up in Chechnya. They brought his cup with them. Somehow the cup was lost in the course of time, ending up in the land of the infidel, Britain. No! But now it has come home!!! Praise be to Allah!!!

The Chechen government said in a statement on its website that "the cup was used by Prophet Mohammed, passing to his cousin Ali ibn Abi Talib the fourth Caliph." Further details on its authenticity were not immediately available.

Anyone will be able to drink water from it on the day of Mohammed's birthday, the Chechen government said.

"Nobody can say anything else about the origin of the cup," a Chechen government spokesman told AFP. "The negotiations were led by the famous businessman Ruslan Baisarov and it was announced by Ramzan Kadyrov," he said.

Baisarov owns major stakes in Russia's top copper and coal companies and has promised to finance the development of a ski resort in Chechnya planned by the Chechen President.
Kadyrov, who has ruled the war-torn region since 2007 and was reappointed in the post earlier this year, has overseen several grandiose projects and events in Grozny aimed at boosting his political clout.

He has also encouraged the revival of Islam in the region, inaugurating in 2008 the "Heart of Chechnya" mosque, said to be the biggest in Europe.

But rights groups have long accused him of presiding over a personal militia that they say has carried out serial rights violations, torture and even murder.

Kadyrov told the crowd that the sacred bowl "was brought from London to Grozny by British Muslims" and dated back 1,400 years. His press service said the bowl had been kept in London by descendants of Muhammad's cousin, Ali. "We put a lot of effort into getting the Great Prophet's bowl to our republic," Kadyrov said at the unveiling.

The bowl will be kept at the mosque and brought out every year on Muhammad's birthday, when any believer will be allowed to drink from it, the press service said. "Many expressed keen interest in the bowl, but the descendants decided that Ramzan Kadyrov deserves to keep it, and so it has been passed to him."

The statement failed to mention whether Kadyrov paid for the purported relic. The leader has claimed that international footballers who have flocked to the republic for exhibition games in recent months were not paid and came "out of respect for the Chechen people".

Kadyrov has ruled Chechnya since 2007 and is accused by human rights groups of targeting enemies inside Chechnya and abroad in his ruthless attempt to consolidate power. Among those who accompanied Kadyrov to the airport on Wednesday was Adam Delimkhanov, suspected by police in Dubai of involvement in the murder of a Kadyrov rival there.

What larks if it is gold because Mohammed forbade the use of gold and silver for cups and dishes: ‘Do not wear silk or brocade.
