Although Muslims believe that the Qur’an is a perfect copy of the ‘Mother of the Book’ held by Allah in Paradise and revealed over a period of 23 years to the Prophet Mohammed, the overwhelming evidence is that it was dreamt up by Mohammed as a means of acquiring status, power, wealth and—not least—sex.
Mohammed’s adopted son, Zayd, was married to an Arabian beauty called Zaynab bint Jahsh. Calling at their house one day, Mohammed saw Zaynab semi-clothed and became obsessed with her to the point of wanting to marry her himself. However, the prevailing custom forbade marriage between a father and the divorced wife of his son—even when the son was adopted—on grounds of incest. Never slow to capitalize on the opportunities presented by prophethood, Mohammed received a revelation specially tailored to let him have his wicked way with Zaynab. Zayd was to divorce Zaynab and Allah would make it lawful for Mohammed to marry her:
[33:37-38] And when Zayd divorced his wife, We gave her to you in marriage, so that it should become legitimate for true believers to wed the wives of their adopted sons if they divorced them. Allah’s will must needs be done. No blame shall be attached to the Prophet for doing what is sanctioned by Allah.
Very neat indeed, and it didn’t stop there. While other Muslims were limited to four wives, Allah gave Mohammed unique permission to have as many wives, concubines and sex slaves as he could cope with:
[33:50] Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have granted dowries and the slave-girls whom Allah has given you as booty; the daughters of your paternal and maternal uncles and of your paternal and maternal aunts who fled with you; and the other women who gave themselves to you and whom you wished to take in marriage. This privilege is yours alone, being granted to no other believer.
The lesson for us all is that when you have a hotline to Paradise, make the most of it.

It's worth mentioning that Zaynab was also Mohammed's cousin. It is from his marriage to her that Islamic culture gained its acceptance of cousin marriage. The result is more than 1000 years of genetic deterioration, which has had disastrous consequences for both Muslims and the world.
It is a terrifying state of affairs, and when one reads of the new Bishop of Stepney supporting Islam by speaking at a rally against the English Defence League, one has to wonder whether the bishops are the full shilling themselves.
