If you can read German, Michael Mannheimer has an interesting article about Muslim demographics in European countries here. I'll maybe translate some bits of it if I can find time later in the week. Although the article does have some good material in it, I actually think that some of his figures are badly flawed. In some cases, he overstates the number of Muslims in some countries now and the speed of their likely future expansion.

I never thought I'd be one to pour cold water on projections of Muslim demographics, but there you go. The reality is bad enough. There is no need to exaggerate it. But I will make a more in-depth post about his article and my reservations about it later.

For now, here is a graphic showing Muslims as a proportion of the Swiss population. The data for this comes from the Swiss Federal Statistics Office so should be reliable.
