Islam versus Europe

According to a recent estimate, Belgium has 623,000 Muslims, just under 6% of the population. Many of the Mohammedans are concentrated in Brussels, so Brussels will go down first. Later in the century it would not surprise me to see the French and Dutch parts of Belgium break off and become separate states with Muslim-led demands for autonomy for Brussels too.

The Muslims may want Brussels to become a fully-fledged separate state, but then they would have to worry about who would pay their benefits bill. They may demand some kind of autonomous status giving them almost complete independence within Flanders but with a residual formal connection that would require the Flemish to go on paying jizya to them in one form or another.
